*** OUTSIDERS ***

Look out for horses whose previous outing was in a handicap of similar importance or value, even if they ran down the field. Connections of such animals obviously fancy their chances for a big win. Things may have gone wrong in running last time, or the horse may not have 'fired' as was hoped, but it could well pop up at a long price when the betting public least expects it.

*** FOOTBALL BETTING ***
You cannot usually bet on single football matches on the Fixed Odds Coupens --- Why? The bookmakers don't like them - the odds are often on your side!
The minimum bet on a fixed odds coupon is usually a treble. And that is still not enough for the bookies. They offer all sorts of gimmicks and incentives to make you play the larger accumulator bets, like 5-fold, 6-fold etc. Why? The larger the bet the more the odds favour the bookmaker. A professional gambler would never touch such a bet. They are for 'mug punters' and for people who 'feel lucky'.
Successful football betting has nothing to do with luck. If the bookies don't like a particular sort of bet it's because they know you have a good chance of winning - as in SINGLE MATCH BETS!
